I do not have any pictures to show this time but maybe on wordless Wednesday I will be able to scrounge up a few pictures for all of you to see.

Today is Tuesday!!
So today is Tuesday and I am one day behind on writing my tests for this month. I wanted to make sure that I was ready to write them as I need to get really good marks this year. I was supposed to have them written by yesterday but that just did not happen. Last week I took Hannah to the doctor and after having chest xrays we found out that she has pneumonia. So she has been on meds and has been a bit cranky the last little while. I had been praying that she would be feeling much better by Sunday as it was her dedication at Church. When Sunday morning rolled around I knew it was going to be a good day. She was so happy and content and she had a great day with her cousins. It may have been too good of a day for her though. When Monday came around she was quite grumpy unless I was holding her and when she got tired she screamed and screamed until she just could not keep her eyes open any longer. It did not help that I had to take her for another chest xray in the morning. I am not sure if I have described the chest xray process to you but i will do that now. The technician put her onto what could be described as a bicycle seat for babies. Then the other technician held her arms up while the first guy wrapped a plastic cone around her little body to hold her in a seated position with her hands up over her head. Once she was strapped in they took a couple pictures of her chest and told me to go and wait while they checked the images to make sure they got 2 good pictures. Did I mention that she had to be naked for this procedure? Well she did, she could keep her diaper on but that was it. I felt so bad for her. So bad that I thought I would leave her in the seat just a few seconds longer to get a picture so that all of you could see what it actually looked like. But alas the room was too dark and my picture did not turn out so you will just have to use your imagination.

A long day!!
So I took Hannah to the walk in clinic yesterday. We found out that she has a croupe like sound coming from her chest. I had to take her to get chest x-rays and to pick up some penicillin to help her get back to her normal self. She apparently takes after me when it comes to taking penicillin, she stays wide awake instead of konking out. She has been much crankier the last few days and not sleeping much. I sure hope this passes over soon so we can get back to normal.
Sunday is her dedication at Church and I am sure hoping that she will feel much better by then.

Busy September
So things have been really busy since school started for Mike and myself. I have been working on school stuff and Mike has been trying to get his real estate stuff finished. Mike has finally completed everything and is a full fledged real estate agent!! Yay!! I am working on my last year of school and I am actually enjoying this year. Hannah is doing great! I took her for her 2 month needles on Monday! She was a trooper. She only cried when they started to inject the fluid stuff and she only cried for a minute. I took her to the waiting room and she started talking away and was happy. She has been a little cranky the last few days though so I think she is just getting it out of her system. She is getting so big and so sociable. I just want her to be awake all the time but we also need the time when she is sleeping to get stuff done. When she is awake all I do is either hold her or lay on the floor with her and talk to her. So I guess her sleeping is necessary for me to get stuff done!
Today was our first Mots class. It was fun, a bunch of moms from the church or community were there. I was able to leave Hannah with some grandmas from the church who volunteered to come and babysit and I was able to spend time with other moms and not worry about Hannah. It was nice to talk to other people who have babies. I am glad that I went.

Busy morning
So today Hannah and I had a very busy morning. Mike was asked to bring pictures of Hannah to school so all the teachers could see his baby but since we have not developed any of our pictures of her we decided to just bring her to the school. Everyone thought she was just so cute and that she looked just like her daddy. After they all went to their classrooms I took Hannah to my old school J.R. Reid to show her to all the teachers that I used to work with. She was such a good sport about being shown to so many people. She smiled a bunch and then fell asleep. After that visit we went to the church for a Mots meeting which took till lunch time. Now I am home and I am fed, Hannah is sleeping in her swing and I feel the need to get some homework done. I also feel the need to take a nap. I am not sure which one is going to win out on this one but I do know for sure that a blanket, warm slippers and a cup of tea will be involved in whatever I choose to do!

Weekend Seminar

On August 20-22 I went back to school for my last year of school. It was the first time going to classes after having Hannah. I was feeling stressed just going back to school and having to find someone to watch Hannah while I was in class. I had asked my sister Christine to come and she was only too happy to come and spend the weekend with Hannah and myself. Then Dwayne and Judy found out that they were going to be induced and were going to have their baby on the weekend. Since Chris had told Judy she would watch Meredith for her when baby #2 came along Chris was not able to come. I asked my good friend Whitney if she would be able to come and she said yes. The weekend went faster than I thought it would but it was still as stressful as I thought it would be. I spent much of my time in class worrying that Hannah was crying and that Whitney would be stressed out having to care for a screaming child. She did cry but not as much as I worried she might. It was good to come home and see Mike. After we arrived back in Brandon we went to the hospital to meet my new niece Chloe. She was so little (compared to Hannah) and so very cute.
On the Tuesday of that week Hannah and I got back in the car and drove to Austin to visit my parents and sisters. It was good to see them and spend some time just relaxing while other people took care of Hannah for me.
Then Thursday came around and Mike took off to the farm to be a farmer for a couple of days so my mom came out to Brandon to pick me up and take me back to Austin. Chris and Judy came to mom and dads on Thursday evening to hang out. Again it was a great day to have other people to help take care of Hannah. I came back on the Friday and boy oh boy was it nice to be at home. On Sunday we went to a picnic to celebrate our friends 1 year birthday of his bone marrow transplant. Later on that night we went out to our friends Thomas and Shelda's farm for a bon fire. It was so good to hang out with friends.
We spent Monday and Tuesday at home relaxing. Then on Tuesday evening I drove out to MacGregor to my sister Kim's house for a girls night of eating ice cream and watching a movie. We stayed up late. Wednesday morning we got up and got ready for a day of shopping in Winnipeg. Mom, Chris, Kim and myself went to Winnipeg to spend the day shopping and just spending time with each other. Judy decided to stay at home since Chloe was only a week and a half old but I think she will be able to join us on our next venture out to the big city.
We had a great time shopping and got back to Austin late so I stayed at mom and dads for the night before come back to Brandon.
On Thursday Mike and I went shopping for shelves to make my coat closet in my kitchen into a pantry. While I sat on the computer for my evening class Mike put up the shelves in the closet. It looks great and I am so thankful that my husband is so handy.
That about sums it up!! Maybe next time I will blog as things happen and you won't have to read so much about my life at one time.
